Hello and welcome to this week's edition of the IFI Newsletter!

Opening in-cinema this week are Steven Soderbergh's haunted house POV thriller Presence and the Oscar-nominated The Brutalist. Experience this enthralling new epic from Brady Corbet in 70mm exclusively at the IFI, the only cinema in Ireland with 70mm projection.

Other special events this week include two screenings this Sunday 26th, Blitz as part of our Wild Strawberries film club and Neil Martin: Bóthar an Cheoil with Q&A as part of Tradfest.

Coming next month, our latest season Between Heaven and Hell: The Films of Ingmar Bergman celebrates one of the most iconic filmmakers with 22 films screening in-cinema and on IFI@Home. Multi-film passes are available from IFI Box Office in-person or over the phone on 01 679 3477.

WILD STRAWBERRIES: BLITZ

In this Second World War-set drama, he chooses to focus on the experience of Londoners seeking refuge from German bombs in underground shelters and tunnels. Saoirse Ronan excels as a young woman who has sent her son to the country for safety but the boy, George, decides to make his own way back to the city.

The screening on Wednesday 29th will be Open Captioned.
